Is Your Toyota Ready?

The amount of people who prefer to stay indoors when Denver gets hit with a massive storm is immense. Of course, if you don’t know how to drive on wintery roads, many people who are out there will thank you, but to us, everyone needs to be prepared to drive, even in the worst conditions. If you’ve been following our previous blog posts, then you are aware that the Denver Metro’s most trusted Toyota repair squad has been conveying messages to you about how to stay prepared on slick, wet roads this winter. If you’re unaware of how to equip yourself with the knowledge needed to drive safely on ice-packed roads, read about preparation before continuing. Pre-Season Checkup

• Battery. It’s incredibly important to replace a battery that is weak. A batter that doesn’t not have a strong charge is more susceptible to losing complete charge when the temperatures drop below freezing. Avoiding any chance of becoming stranded is essential.
• Lights. Turn on your headlights and make sure that they work properly. This includes examining your blinkers, flashers, brights, headlights, taillights, reverse lights and brake lights. Don’t forget about checking your license plate lights, too.
• Brakes. Without reliable brakes, you won’t get very far. If you hear your brakes squeaking or there’s unusual pulling to one side when you brake, it’s an indication that you need to get your brakes checked.
